Default preening you?

Is it common for your bird to preen YOU? I know I've seen some do it, but last night I had Bo on a perch while we had company over.. I was sitting on the couch and he was right next to me on his perch. Remember, he's not yet a person-friendly bird (well he is, but basically.. he bites if he's messed with). Next thing you know I have tugs on my hair.. I look over and he's in my face grabbing my hair and just going down my strands.. he just wouldn't stop, I thought it was hilarious.. and I was actually comfortable with a "biting" bird in my face.. I'd pull away and he'd get mad. It was the cutest thing ever.. but does it happen a lot?? lol

Birds preen to maintain their feathers, to keep themselves warm and dry, to remove parasites, and to strengthen relationships.

It's such a privilege isn't it? I get preened on my ear & sometimes on my hair too. If it's my ear, it gives me the shivers - in a nice way.

Scarlett and Prinny preen me not stop! Scarlett focuses on the hair and Prinny likes to work on the face. I always feel so loved while being preened.

our u2 goes after blemishes. i may not even notice i have one, but he surely finds it.

Bo on the other hand, when he gets close to skin he loves to nip.. I was surprised, he would pull the hair away from my face and preen it.. he nipped at my nose bridge a few times, but he was actually grabbing stray hairs.

Afa preens my eyelashes. I often ask "why do I tolerate this" Occy preens and clips my hair.

Pita does my eyelashes, eyebrows, ears, hair, and anything else he can find.

It is amazing how they can find the tiniest freckle, and pick at it till it bleeds.....LOL

I love every minute of it. I feel so loved.

Yep, all mine preen me, too. Mikey, with his big ol' beak, sometimes pulls more than preens, but he tries :-). I trust Kenobi, Ceilidh and Rowan to preen my face, but not Bob, Arthur or Mikey Blue. They have to settle for my hair, 'cause they're not gentle enough to be near my ears, lips, nose, eyes, etc.!
