Default Parrot Net things

I have heard a lot of good things about the parrot "crawlers" (the parrot nets, there's a picture attached). But I also heard they carry a hefty price, and at the store the other day, I saw a hammock, and thought, why not just use one of them? Hammocks are fairly large and I think they would look neat hanging somewhere with toys dangling off of them, and I'm sure the birds would love it. What do you guys think?

Maybe it is a good idea, depends what the hammock is made of. Also it may be treated with scotch guard and that won't be good for birdies. I have have been thinking of weaving my own.

It may, but I don't really know.

Even if hammocks are bird safe, they cost about the same amount of money as the largest Starbird Get a Grip net. Personally, I'd just go with the Get a Grip. Oh, wait--I already have! *grins*

How much does the largest net cost?
I found (I think they were cotton) hammocks for less than $50.

Shane, I would call the manufacturere and ask them if it's treated.

Looks like the photo you posted is made with Supreme Cotton Rope. That rope is more expensive but it's bird friendly. Supreme Cotton Rope is made safer so birds tend not to get toes, etc, caught. I pay the extra price because it's safer.

How much do the get-a-grips cost? Around $150 or so? That's not bad, actually it's a great deal if it's all Supreme Cotton Rope.

I think I would just stick with the get-a-grips, since I would know they are bird friendly.

Where did you get yours from? I found a few websites selling them, ebay probably has them too...
