I don't think my family can go one week without adding another animal (or two, or three) to the house.
This week we got- three frogs, seven praying mantisis and *drum roll please* ANOTHER african grey! Not to mention our two new cats, and one of the cats new kitten.
So anyways, her name is Tika, and she is 12 years old. She was also a rehome, abused in her first and second home. Are you ready for the story?
Tika was bought from a breeder, and directly stuck in the basement in a ratty old cage with no toys. She's flighted, but could hardly move in the cage. Sometimes the owner would take her out, and get this, she had to CATCH her with a NET to shove her back into the cage!
In her second home, the person loved her, but Tika didn't love her. So since Tika was "a biter" and "not a good pet" she was stuffed in a cage, that was only cleaned once or twice a year! Susanne had to put the cage through TWO car washes just to scrape off the poop that was caked on.
Already after two days Tika has made considerable amounts of progress. She kisses, dances (she's a GREAT dancer!

) and more. She's getting better and better by the minute.
Pictures are soon to come, but I just wanted to let you all know!
