I have an odd question. I've been working on a painting for a christmas present and I really want to have the footprints of my green-cheeked conure across them. I was going to paint the footprints in but I thought it would be more personal if they were real. I was reading a book about a lady who painted on cats with a food based dye that was completely non-toxic. (Really cool book actually called "Why Paint Cats.") I was curious if anyone knew a recipe for a non-toxic paint/dye? Any help would be much appreciated.
Your best bet would be to not use a dye or paint at all. Rather try grape juice, or cranberry juice, or even better, crush up some raspberries and use that, or blackberries. Then you bird can eat them afterwords.
