Beast is doing so well taking care of his baby. My daughter wants to change his name to Marlin if the baby is called Nemo.

These pics are taken at dusk in the aviary. The baby is well filled in order to last the night. I may add that although I have not weighed in the past few days, this baby seems larger and better fed than a single baby belonging to Cinderella & Charming, which is a few days younger. Beast is getting very brave in his defence of his child. He came within half an inch of my hand, very risky to pick up a baby, I quite like for my blood to be inside and not leaking out.

Nemo is one solid looking baby. You must be very proud of Beast. Hope you & Beast [aka Marlin] can work this out without bloodshed. Poor fellow is so focused. Have you tried offering him bribes?

What a sweet little fuzz ball.

He can't be bought with a bribe, I tried peanuts in shell and he refuses. He will probable get less intense about it as the baby gets bigger. I mostly just peep in the box and hope he does not get my face.
