Oh my gosh....this lil grey chicken of mine! She is unbelievably vocal! She talks so much but of course never when others are around so people outside the family thinks we're nuts! LOL For the longest time she would just shout, or screech phrases or yell "Leave it"! But it seems now, she has mastered her vocals and can actually adjust her volume! Weeeeeee. She is a trip. I love how she interacts with the dog. It's amazing to me how intelligent greys are. Of course, Hondo doesn"t think so! Have a good one.

Your Grey sounds like a real character. How old is she now?
When I looked after Bunny - she would give that amazing whistle & kind of drop-drop sound as well - they were quite loud. Her voice was pretty quiet when she was talking human.

Do you think she night be copying her humans? - some of us are louder that others - do you call to each other from room to room? Around our house we made a rule; if you can't see the person don't call. It is a hard rule but keeps us from yelling at each other - even in an apt. When my son was young he had what we called, his playground voice - when he came home from school he'd be shouting.
