More thoughts on the Gabriel Situation I know from being around hte foundation that they could also use more than just money. When a flock from a hoarding comes in, toys are badly needed, along wiht towels, newspaper, and cages. So if you are creative wiht toys this is a good opportunity.**OR** if you have access to pieces of safe wood to chew and climb on.
Also- for those that live near-by, fostering some of these birds is a great. My own bird came from a hoarding rescue (Mar, 2006). Bebe was very thin and sad looking, and had no strength in her feet from sitting on one perch for whoever knows how long. so I took her home for more one-on-one care, and hehe... never gave her back :-) |
