Talking Macaws need placement

Hi everyone! As you all know I run the So. Jersey Bird Club Parrot Adoption Program. Right now I am having difficulties placing two B & G Macaws, approx. 18 & 19 yrs. old, 1 male and 1 female, in separate cages. Owner insists they be kept together....I fully agree with this and thus lies the problem. If there are any of you out there who have experience with Macaws and live in the tri-state area of New Jersey, who would be interested in adopting them, please PM me for more details. Thanks!

Darn it, I have to answer no to both questions. But if I were in the tri-state area, and if I did have Macaw experience, you bet I'd be interested! Hope you're able to locate someone who does fit the bill.

Aww, I wish I had the room for two more. I live in Delaware, so I'm pretty close. If it were a year down the road when I move into a bigger house it would have been perfect.

I hope they find a good home soon!

I wish I could but I am very far away, and there is 60 days quarantine. It would not be fair to any bird.

Sorry Pat, I'm not in your area and I'm at maximum capacity with the two red heads here. I hope you're able to find them a wonderful home.

I can't adopt them but I'd be willing to drive down and play with them if you like and perhaps get over my fear of birds larger than my head Or any other birds that need some socialization. It'll give me practice until a Sunny girl or Hahns girl comes along.

Pat,

I'd take them in a heart beat if it wasn't for the fact we are already tapped out Keep up updated though!
