It's been a while since I posted Lucy pics (or to me it has!) and I thought you would enjoy seeing the huge improvment that she has goen through. New feathers are popping in every day and her chest is about 45% feathered, though the feathers aren't really in 'groups'. Now, if you saw her in person, her chest would look purple, not blue. She has blue wings though and a purple eye ring comming in, but you can't see it just yet It wasn't really until I took her off of pellets and she hadn't had them for a few days that you could really see the new feather growth. I'll put a few before and after pics: In some its a little hard to tell from just a glance, but her feather growth is just stunning!

Thanks! Like I said, she's a doll and has improved so fast in only the month I've had her. I've set a 'goal' to have her feathered my Thanksgiving. It's not very far away, but we're improving so fast! If we don't make it, I won't be disapointed, after all, it takes time and she needs all the love she can get!

I was given Lucy a month ago. Two years ago, she was given a series of hormon shots that continued through 2006. Her owners (2 men) knew she liked women better and needed a home where where she could get more attention. Yes, she was a feather picker. When I got her, she only plucked every now and again but now she's completly stopped.

It's in November (I think, lol). Right before Christmas.
