We are all bird lovers here at PC.
That doesn't go for just our own FID's you know.
I have a love for nature in general and am a softie when I see or read about a bird in trouble.
I know you all feel the same or you wouldn't be looking at this thread.

How can PC be a sponsor to the Gabrial Foundation if only a portion of us has stood up for the cause.

I hope I don't come off as sounding harsh but...Jeez!

I promise I will donate soon. My mom has to do it since I can't yet (only a couple more years), or else I would have already donated, but I will have her do it soon.
It makes me so happy to see all these people supporting this so much, but we need more supporters!

There's enough time Glider, I admire you young folks, such kind hearts as you struggle with lifes hardships.
I know money is tight for many folks, I am in the same boat, but there are ways, there is always HOPE.
I can't expect everyone to help, but I can continue to plea and hopefully folks will hear my cries and "please know everyone", my tears are real, they are as genuine as they come.
Many tears have fallen for the residents of The Gabriel Foundation Sanctuary, MANY.
As a Rescuer myself I know of the "Little Ones Needs", up front and Personal.
I made a commitment to all animals over 18 years ago, that commitment is written in stone, there are no exits for me to take...."I Have Tried To Walk Away"....They won't let me.....
The door is always open to the little ones at The Gabriel Foundation, the same commitment was made from folks that walk the same path as I.

i've to keep my student stipend in line a little - we're already members of the gabriel foundation, and my christmas present last year is the sponsorship of mikey at TGF.... so i've to wait a little with the PC sponsorship

Thank you for making what we have done here possible. I hope we can do more. What we have raised will help those in need. I am confident that we will raise more money before the time comes to end the fund drive. For those that have already sponsored privately to either TGF or another rescue ....Thank you. Thank you for caring for those birds that were not lucky enough to land in one of our homes. Atleast now, they are being cared for in a secure and safe place.

Hug your birds tonight, for they are the lucky ones. They are loved. We now have a chance to reach out and love those that need us.

well............ I guess as how I'll do something different. By that I mean "join the crowd" Even when I don't have the money I have always given to worthy causes. Before now, any time I have given money I would do it anonymously as that fits into my lifestyle of recovery.
Even before Arty's post of what happened to the B&G I had an idea that is what happened. Back when I was running in my addiction seeing pets, usually birds or reptiles, used for money was real common. Threw all the insanity of that time of my life the only conscience I had left surrounded animals.
Because of that I will talk to Kelly to see what we can afford in hope that if just one other person follows suit, maybe one less bird will experience what I have seen.
