Hey all, these pics were all taken within the past half hour, most of them are Carmen and Papi.... I figured I boged you down with Jewel Pictures yesturday!
here are some updates:
Carmen - WOW has she grown, she still begs for formula at night a bit, but when I offer it, she'll barley take a lick and then laugh at me and fly away. Shes eating a ton of fresh vegitables and fruits, loves everything.... She has become an amazing flyer, its like watching a fighter jet, in, out up down, around, hovering in the air... her favorite hang out spot is my head!
Papi - Papi and carmen are best friends, they have preening sessions every night. Papi had a time out today for biting me and Carmen actually flew over and unlocked his cage to let him out, it was too cute, I couldnt be mad. Papi is still a little hormonal, but getting better... We are starting to resume our nightly cuddle here and there.... Even when he's in a bad mood, hes good about puffing up for scritches, talking to me and warning me before he explodes. His newest saying is "What are you looking at?"
Jewel - You all saw her pics yesturday, shes a cudddle bug. I swear she is trying to talk, I heard Hello and Stup up a few times yesturday pretty clear. Today, she took a jump clear off her playstand on to of er cage, wobbled in the air for a bit, made it almost acros te whole room, and crashed onto me on the couch. She did it again, hit the ground and waddled around until she found me. Its so cute, she tries to follow me everywhere, when shes in her cage, she'll move to the side tat I'm closest too. Se loves her harness and I cant wait till she starts fledging and gets to fly around out there on her harness.
Jack - crazy as always.. always wants to play, jump, roll over, cliimb, so on... Her favorite things to say are "Lets go swimming" and then she'll say in a reall whiny voise "Let me out, step up, steeeeep uuuup" and she repeats everything she says a few times like the sheep on charlets we, its funny..
Twitch - is delightful. he's learned all sorts of new whistles... his newest is the tune of the aunts go marching in...
Screech - well, very happy alone.... Dont touch me, dont bother me, just give me food and toys and I'm happy.
I've been goin through a rough spot latley, and these guys have been great keeping me happy. They constantly make me smile and laugh... and keep me busy. I've been buying vegitables and cooking birdie treats all week long. and I swear Papi (hes been with me the longest) knows how I'm feeling, because last week I was really upset and crying a bit, and he came over to the couch, sat on my lap for cuddles and said "I love you" I know its probably just a coincidence because its not an uncommon thing for him to do, but It made me smile. I am so grateful for my fids... Some days they really give me a reason to get out of bed, knowing that they depend on me. They bring me so much joy and I just hope I can make them as happy as possible.
Sorry this is so long, but I was thinking all this and only you bird people know what I'm talking about.... Everyone else thinks I'm a nut. Well, mabe you guys think I'm a nut too, but thats allright, you still understand te bird think
