Hey guys! So I'm in supposed to be sunny Florida! Its been thundering and lightening for a while now so I thought I would check in with yall!

Lucy made the 9 hour trip okay. She actually started throwing up toward the end and I got very concerned. She didn't/wouldn't eat all day and has still only been eating the bear minimum. I have to hand feed her everything, and it is very difficult. She will not climb down to her food bowls either. On almost the entire trip down, she snuggled right up under my neck. My parents have really been swaying me from giving her away. Lately things have been really stressful and they said that I should really think about giving her up so soon. So, I am now really considering bringing her back home. IDK, I just love her so much. And she's picking up so many words/whistles from the neighbors' (same person who was going to take her) lory. It is adorable! I just don't know anymore. I love her so much and feel terrible giving up on her like this...Sorry guys, just had to vent!

Always best to think everything very carefully before making any choice.

It must be very hard. What to do?? Sometimes I write down my pros & cons & look at them - it stops my mind from getting all worn out.

So...you don't like our rainy season huh? This is probably the worse time to visit Florida. Way too hot and rains every day. Where are you right now? East coast?

Well, I went and checked out Lucy's new home today. It is AMAZING! the woman taking her used to breed toucans, caiques and ekkies (along with more) but has stepped out of the bussiness. Lucy would be living in a GEORGOUS aviary with Jaia (she is caged) a stunning lory (she is quite large and almost looks like Lucy) and she NEVER stops talking! Lucy is already starting to pick up some of her chatter. Over all, I think she will be very happy.

And you know, I just have to tell myself, there will always be an Eclectus, Toucan and Vasa out there, they aren't leaving the planet any time soon, and I truely feel a peace about this situation. I think the thing that hinders me the most is the thought og "I'm not going to have and ekkie anymore". But I just keep tellign myself "its okay" and I'm okay!

Awww dear LucyLou! Well since you're in Florida...I wouldn't mind meeting the little girl...and convincing you to...keep her! muahahaha I wonder what Lucy and Jazzy would think of each other! Oh I just love those Ekkie cuddles under the chin. Jazzy does that with me when there are thunder & lightening storms <3 She gets all warm & corn chip/flower smelling! Mmm!

*EDIT* Whoopsies, sorry...I just read your last reply in this thread, Dom. I am a tad behind. I'm sure whatever you decide will be the best option. It sounds like a fabulous place chickie.
