Last nite, I took Cleo to the bed to let her play after I got home from work. She, pretty easily , got on the perch. She has now realized, I think, that after her clipping she needs that to go somewhere and that she's ok on a perch. Now, she can still go somewhere, she walks. She walks bout as good as she can fly. LOL.
So, I took her on the perch to the bed and we did a little playing, some small toys. She appears to like the interaction. She is still very uncomfortable though. She loves geting her head scratched/playing on her tree or cage. But if she's not there, she's very jumpy and not relaxed enough to scratch. But she did play, and bite once.

And then, on her own, she just stepped onto my hands with both feet like "I'm done playing now..home James".
So, that was nice. But I take a couple of steps outta the room and she launches, flutters to the ground then starts walking back to the cage. I'm basically a lift down to the floor for her. She is Ms. INdependant.
So, we did some cat and mouse to get her back on my hand. She walked away from me to another room, I followed her around.
Getting her out of her comfort zone on the cage/tree and letting her know/feel that she can trust me to get on my hands is good.
I dont' want to have her clipped again. I'd rather her be able to fly. She trusts me or she wouldn't let me cup my hand around her head when she's on the tree or cagetop.
Anywho, last nite was encouraging. She's a sweetie, a bitin sweeting, but a sweetie all the same.
