Default Joel's "Window Thingy"

Joel,

Don't worry.....you don't have to put the flack suit back on.......

I would really like to see some pics of your window cage......sounds interesting.

Me too!

Right now I drag each and every cage outside every morning.
With my bird room in destruction/construction I no longer have FS lights.
Will replace them when the room is done. (My guys threw them out by accident.)

My plan in re-doing the bird room was to build just such a thingy.
I was going to have my guys put in a window then build a cage that would attach to the window on the outside. You would have to put the mesh up and then double it with screen if you still want the window open to the elements. It is not hard to do.
Build the cage with only three sides, the fourth side would be open and attached to the outside of the window. Joel just made it sound harder than it is by trying to explain how to attach it. If you have any knowledge of tap cons and tools, you should be able to do it.

Oh, I am not getting mine. They decided to put in French doors and forgo the windows...poop!

well, i don't even know what "tap con" means soooooooo i know next to nothing about tools and constructing things. Because of HOA restrictions, I won't be able to do any outdoor aviary type thing until we move from this house, anyways. I'd just like to have ideas for the future.

A tap con is just the kind of screw that will penetrate concrete.
