Aww Missi, I hope your bf is ok. I'm going with the excitement overload. Sometimes Silk gets so worked up you can all most see the extra energy flowing off her, and guaranteed that's when she bites the hardest. I hope he didn't take it to heart though...... maybe an eckie sibling would help? Lol

Aww, poor Joe!

The excitement overload theory is a good one, but I wanted to point out something else. Was there anything that happened at the time she bit him, like the phone ringing or some other odd distraction? Sometimes parrots can bite as a warning to their flock. I know you don't have two birds (YET! lol), but when either Dave or I are holding Lulu and Jerry flies over to get in on the fun, Lulu instinctively bites us as a warning that the monster is near lol.

Cats actually do the same thing -- get caught up in the play and get carried away, easy way to get bitten or scratched. Some are more prone to it than others, but anyone can slip into the excitement of the moment. I guess if we weren't so civilized.....well, you do see folks duking it out at intersections from time to time, don't you?
