I am very excited! She seems to chatter the most when I'm sitting on my bed playing on my laptop (you know, not giving HER HIGHNESS the constant attention she wants ) or right before she goes to sleep. I think a recorder is key here because she gets camera shy when I try to make a video of her! She was chattering into her food dish this morning while she was eating her breakfast, but I couldn't make anything out! It was so funny to look over at her with her head burried in the dish and mumbling this and that

Yes, I'd love to hear an Ekkie's voice! To record Jerry I bought a Digital Voice recorder - it's about the size of an iPod. Although Jerry likes to talk right into the mic, I can also set it inconspicuously next to his cage when he's chatting away to his toys

Does it come with a USB cord to plug into the computer to get the recording?

Welllll I bought mine from Best Buy and it was about $90.00 - they may have cheaper ones, I can't remember. It does come with a USB cord and also earphones. It was expensive, but it's been VERY well worth it - mine holds something like 26 hours worth of audio and I have about 20 files each 5-15 minutes long with Jerry's talking and talking
