Default Its ok to have fun!

Our pets bring us joy right? So lets enjoy them. And it's so much more fun when you can share your experiences with others who feel the same way! So dont be afraid to tell your stories. There are right and wrong ways to do things to ensure longevity, I think we all get that! Here at Parrot Chatter we want all of our members to be happy and participate. Not every topic is posted for debate, its posted to say, my bird is my friend and brings me great happiness. With that in mind, please remember when you are replying, we arent always looking for advice. If anyone in particular reads something that seems like a please feel free to start an informative thread in the appropriate forum that is educational on that topic! So please take a moment to understand a thread to determine if someone is sharing or asking for advice. This will help us to maintain an upbeat lighthearted forum where everyone can feel comfortable with the topic at hand. So come on everyone...lets hear about your birds and how they make you happy!

That's a good point I often don't think to start another thread when I want to ask about something on a thread that may not be 100% in the spirit of the original.

I'm always asking extra questions so this will be a challenge.

Bet you don't tho! My Budgies make me want to squeeze them too - especially when Laker is sitting there with his belly feathers covering his feet & his beard all puffed out.

I have to laugh when Winkie starts pitching a fit when he sees an orange object. This is especially true of newspaper bags! I love how he thinks he's Zon size & weighs less than 1/2 an oz. When he puffs up his head feathers & tilts it for scritchies I melt - even if I was mad at him 10 seconds before.

yay for Leigh.

It has been suggested to me that my birds are too much like hard work, my reply is that they keep me sane, they a balm to my busy life, a place of rest. A gift given to me by our Creator.

That being said I still have not found out how to feed my birdies and I require daily supervision. Most mornings I bring Peanut and company into my kitchen to help with preparations. Sometimes I am not so clever and can't follow directions to add things like sunflower and peanuts daily, I have to pretend I don't notice the feather suits trying to open the canisters. I enjoy the way they lift up the little ss cups to try help me. I am fairly certain that I am not the only one that needs a bit of help preparing birdie food.

Well every time I pass by my Ryan, I just want to eat him! Yummy! HAH!

And I do love the way he MUST be involved in EVERYTHING I do. Sometimes he's so determined to help with vacuuming (yeah right), I can't contain myself.

Well not so much that he helps, but he likes to sit on it. He has no fear of the dust buster and will sit with me when I clean the bottom of the tree, or when I use it for anything, and then he'll jump on it. I think he likes the vibration.
