I would like to introduce our newest feathered family member, now that he has settled in, as well as received a clean bill of health from my avian veterinarian.

So, I am pleased to introduce Bowie (Celtic/Gaelic name meaning "blonde" or "fair-haired"), my yellow dominant Capri macaw boy. A prettier bird would be hard to find, imho, and he's nice, too :-).

Bowie was born on May 8th of this year, making him about 5 1/2 months old. He is still handfeeding (vet did full fecals, CBCs, physical exam, etc., and he's fine), and has been surgically-sexed, as well as banded, microchipped and tattooed! A friend bought his yellow-dominant sister on the same day we bought Bowie.

So, without further ado, here is my lovely baby, Bowie:
