Default If you think I came home with a new fid..........you're wrong!!

I came home with 2 new fids!!!

It's a hotter than hell today and they were exhausted and had poop on their tails so I took them in and gave them a bath.

Basically, I went to the bird show with a species in mind. As I was walking around, I saw some beautiful birds in another species I had sort of considered but thought they were too expensive. They usually sell for $400-500 in Australia. The breeder had 6 extra boys from this season so he asked me to make an offer. I jokingly said $200. He said OK, I'll take it. He does know me from Parrot Society and knows I will spoil the little brat rotten. But I still wanted the other bird too...................decisions, decisions!!!

Well bugger the decisions, I bought them both!

Here they are, they insisted that they don't want their internet debut to be soaking wet so I can only show their butts.

So see if you can guess the butts!!! (one member who knows is sworn to secrecy)

UC members, don't let the cat.............I mean bird out of the bag!!!

First of all, congratulations!!!

Okay I swear I have not gone into UC. I would say it is some type of Lory. Maybe a black Lory? Now I have to go into UC and see if I am right. Am I?

Nope, so far no one has guessed right!

#1 is going to be a sweetie! She is snuggling into my neck, chirping softly and tangling in my hair.

#2 is going to be a little bugger! He is chasing my feet around nipping my toes!

Think South America!

Definitely some conure - shape of tail. Size I think green cheek, but the feet colour maybe nanday. Could I be seeing a colour variation of a green cheek?

Can I guess if the birdie is dry? Wet bird changes the colour somewhat.

Last edited by 2horse; 03-11-2007 at 12:45 AM. Reason: wet bird
