talk about easy conversion..bobby nearly took hand and all off me when i put the quiko pellets into his treats bowl..he loves them! his seed bowl is untouched for the last 5hrs and hes been chowing down on these coloured fruity flavoured things!!!

on the other hand... i mixed em up with zups seed and also put some in the treats bowl... the treats bowl is now on the bottom of the cage and he has picked every pellet out of the bowl and onto the ground!.. im getting stubborn now with him!! i will win!... i think lol hopefully hell start taking to the zupreem when it arrives

as for marley and tango...they just eat around the pellets and take one or 2 maybe for a change but thats about it

Don't give up. Most of my birds are rehomes who were on a straight sunflower seed diet. All of mine were converted to pellets/fresh foods. You will win!!!

Jayne, you should stand in front of them and have a few crunches of it yourself, saying "mmmmmmm! I love these pellets! These pellets are sooo good!" lol..if you try it, be sure to get video! lol......

how bout you come over and do it for me!!!!! and the sweet smell of em makes me wanna puke... same reason i dont eat much chocolate...cant handle the smell lol

If thats an invitation, Ill do it! lol...Always wanted to come over anyway. I can tell people, I went to Ireland, had some Shepperd's Pie and bird pellets. Im sure stranger things happen in those pub's!!! lol..

How did you do it? Humph was on an all sunflower diet when I got her. I have successfully converted her to lots of fresh foods, but she will NOT eat pellets. I even bought the little tiny finch size thinking that maybe the appropriate size is too daunting for her.

THe way I got her to eat vegetables was with interesting presentation - hanging them on her playstand, etc. She is a naturally curious bird with any new toy and she immediately went to beak the vegetable, so accidentally tasted it. Then she decided she liked it!

As for pellets, I've tried them in fruit juice; gradually increasing the amount in her bowl, eating them myself in front of her*(that usually makes her want whatever I'm eating) - no luck.



*come on, admit it - I know you've all tasted the pellets!

Edited to add: I just read some above replies - you HAVE tasted them!

You may have to try several brands of pellets, some birds seem to like a different taste. Good luck on finding the perfect one.
