Well Gayla...

Pita in an only fild. He has no brothers or sisters, so he gets as much love as he could ever want!

He is so spoiled! You have ordered him countless toys and playgyms, not to mention those that you have made. Pita probably has more stuff than anyother single feathered-child out there!

He is never short on toys, that's for sure! In every picture, you can see how much fun he's having! Always showing off for the camera or playing with one of his many toys. He always has this special twinkle in his eye that says "Can't you see how happy I am?"

You feed him well too. He is so happy anfd so well taken care of! I can't think of a reason he wouldn't be happy with you Gayla! You love him and it is clear that he loves you right back!!!

Pita loves you lots, and you love Pita lots, how else could he have such a well chosen name.

You are a good mommie. I just wish pets of all kinds all over the world had moms and dads that worried if they were happy enough.... I try to make Chipper and Trudy have a wonderful life. They enrich mine so much.

Thanx guys. I'm going thru a bit of a tuff time. Been really down & depressed latley. They call it post partum trauma, because of the accident. It's all starting to hit me, I want Pita to show he cares....but he is after all a bird. ALthough today during my cry he sat on my chest and likcked all the tears away.

I wish he'd showed it more like some of your fids do. He probably does in his own sweet little way.

Sorry to burden you all with this. They say the combination of the meds from the accident, and the stress is finally catching up to me, so of course i start doubting if I'm being a good mommie to Pita.....and cry alot.

Yester while I was talking to Bee, I almost asked her if she'd take him......she doesn't know that. But then I would truely be alone.

Hey kiddo, with what you've been through, how could it not have an effect? Pretty traumatic stuff for sure, and yeah, I'm sure the meds, though necessary, play a part as well. Give yourself some time, and remember we're here for you, ok?

girlie - i can sure see where the depression is coming from... hard not to. you've been through a lot, but give yourself some time - you're on the way up, and you're almost over the hill.... then it's gonna get better and better, and you and the little pita-boy can head out and have a lot of fun....

hey, this friday (may 18th) there's a talk by julie wiess murad about bird species and the subcategories etc... it's at the birdbrain from 7-9pm, we could go early and shop.... also, you can bring the birdies if you want to - how does that sound?

I am so sorry you are going through all this Gayla. You are going to have your ups and downs... so sorry for that too...You have been through a very tramatic thing... and you are still here, so there is a reason for that too.
Pita may not show you love the way other birds show love. But I am sure he loves you very much... or he would be a screaming, flighty, bitey, aggressive bird...and I do not think you have that at all..
You are a good mommy and a very proud one also.
Give yourself time... and try and take it easy on yourself... you do not need the guilt trip on top of everything else...
