I think that's the right attitude to have Michele! Don't feel bad Gayla! Stuff happens. I don't think it's good if you INTENTIONALLY try to breed this, (which I don't think anyone did) but if it happens, then you make the best of it and try to learn what you can from it. First and foremost by making sure the dear has as comfortable a life as he can. Anyway, thanks for posting this. I learned something new today.

I agree with everyone. The New Zealanders weren't trying to breed a budgie like that but since he is here, they are giving him love and care. That's what I would do for any bird born in my house too, though I am not a breeder.
