from Parrot Chatter and I tried to post this reply last evening by I had computer internet connection problems. So here is my response today. Thanks for the birthday greeting.
I just want to share with you all the wonders of today! I'm having the best birthday ever along with my youngest daughter who was born on my 29th birthday.
I turned 67 today and was first greeted by the wonderful spectale of nature celebrating our birthday with the total eclipse of the moon.... I hope some of you actually got to experience the wonderment of seeing the moon turn into a beautiful glowing ember in the sky! Along with the sky being dark her we got to see the stars looking like diamonds laid out on lucious black velvet, which is something we don't get to see very often living right on the coast. It was a night to remember...and to think it happened just especially for me!!!
We also awoke at 7:30 to 70 degree weather, which is unusual and now it is 74!
Shelley came over to help us work in the yard today and she cut down some trees and other heavy things of that nature that Don and I needed some assistance with. Then we celebrated our birthdays at lunch time with root-beer floats and exchanged gifts. I hope we didn't wear her out too much as I think she's going out to celebrate with friends tonight.
My east coast daughters sent me a beautiful arrangement of white orchids and Sarah and I have spolen on the phone several times and she sent me a gift card for Jo-anns Fabric store. Don and I don't usually exchange gifts, but he gave me a wonderful card that started out with the sentiment : "Each age has it's own beauty" which I thought was very loving for an old geezer to give to an old gal like me.
I couldn't have had a more wonderful day. di
