Arrow I need a little help with Parrot Cartoon <3

Quito was so nice in finding this for me, I am not an african gray owner but I greatly appreciated the story if none of you have heard it I will post it up later as it is quite lengthy. Anyway I am posting this here for a special reason, because I do not want to infringe on the original owner's story but merely write my own version of it I was trying to think of special jungle birds that would be around the little african gray so I can have her talk to them instead of the birds mentioned in the story. I want to keep the story about the little african gray, that and show some preliminary illustrations and tracings I've done to get used to drawing them. If anyone has the different facial expression pictures and could post them for me so I can learn to draw them pretty please do so it'd help a lot with me doing the perfect little animated story of it.

That and pictures with brief descriptions about special little jungle birds that she could talk to would be fantastic. Currently I'm drawing more illustrations but as it is particularly taxing to sit here in class to draw them it may have to be another week before they're up.

ALSO!....I would like to put a thank you at the end of it for this forum board if that's possible to get permission to do. This animation will probably take me far into next spring to complete as I am doing it by myself, and will need proper voice actors *hint*

Sorry I can't help you w/ anything concerning the greys. I did want to say that the illustrations so far are gorgeous.

Thank you anyway Leah. I wasn't 100% sure to post this here or in the grays forum I am just hoping for some ideas before my teach grabs this and takes it to the 3D Program which I am also not sure about. He wants me to do it up like shrek, which would be nice, but I'm also for traditional hand drawn animation which is stream lined and colorful and I am less likely to botch it up. Even if 3D is less time consuming...I am terrible with backgrounds, Character design is my forte.

I think they all look great! I do have a few suggestions though. The grey in the top right corner really looks one-legged. Maybe you were going for that? If not, I really think he needs a left leg in there somewhere. I think a grey in flight would be really cool.

Also, it's African grEy, not grAy.

Oh I know, Not all of em have feet as I was mainly trying to get the body shapes down lol but nice catch. and you are right again...I didn't think about drawing a gray in flight I shall make the next pin up of illustrations with greys in flight. Also, I've always dottered between GRAY and GREY...cause growing up my kindergarden teacher spelled it with an A so I have a tendancy to forget to switch to an E

The pose in the top left corner is classic grey imo. And I second Camille's suggestion of a Grey in flight. I'll have to look through my pics later and see if I can find any different facial ones.

Tinna, I've never been able to find any reference to who authored the tale. I suppose there's always some possibility of infringing a copyright, but if you can't find out who it was, what are you supposed to do? It's not like you're taking credit for writing it yourself either.

That's very true Quito but I am an artist and I write stories too and I can sympathise on that level if someone couldn't find that I wrote that story I would hope the person would not write the entire thing in whole. Like i am going to change the entire god thing, I've never been fond of referencing god in story books because there's too many religions and too much offending that could go on intentionally, that's why the one illustration up there, the white peacock is going to be a representation of the spirit of the forest at least for the bird world. I came across albino peacocks by accident, and also realised that most cultures use white animals in reference to spirituality and god like beings and figured it'd be the simplest and most down to earth method of explaining the story. <3
