Default How redistribution of items works.

I took Pinky out the nest box before her eyes were open because she got injured by her parents. It seems they jumped or fell on her and caused her legs to be pulled up because of joint damage. I took her to the vet and he showed me how to do physiotherapy to straighten her legs.
Here she is balancing on her wings.

She is now fine except that her feet are not as strong as they should be. I did not cut her wings, because of her weak feet, her wings are very important to her. She is not a very strong flyer.

The last few days all she has wanted was a helicopter on the top of the wall unit. It has been a very strong NEED with her, in fact pretty desperate to get it.

She has been trying to carry it back to the gym to chew up. It did not matter to her that there was no way she could carry it.

I finally gave up and let them all have it to destroy.
This is the story behind these pics. It is under these rules I had to give up the helicopter.

Parrots' Rules for Their Humans

1. If you like it it's mine.
2. If I can reach it, it's mine.
3. If it's in my beak, it's mine.
4. If I can take it from you, it's mine.
5. If I had it a little while ago, it's mine.
6. If it's mine, it must never appear to be yours in any way.
7. If I'm chewing on something, all the pieces are mine.
8. If it looks like mine, it's mine.
9. If I saw it first it's mine.
10. If you have something & put it down, it automatically becomes mine.

Aww, how nice of you to bend the rules so that she could have the helicopter

It is wonderful to see that she is still healthy and strong and able to get around well despite her feet not being very strong or being a very strong flier.

I guess Pinky's feet are much the same as Winston, and will improve over time. Her toes cross each other and sometimes she has 3 in front. Landing is difficult because her feet are not quick enough to grip and balance so she is still using her wings, if you understand what I mean. I can see the flexion in her feet improving. More practice will give her wing strength also.

Yes, they do sound similar. I know what you mean about their feet not being quick enough upon landing, sometimes Winston tips forward and stumbles when landing, but it's happening less and less - he's getting pretty good at controlling a landing and landing on a single perch lately.
