I'm with Leigh, they consume most my day. But in their defense they have been special needs since the day I got them. It makes me happy to give them as much as I can to make up for all the years they had to get by without even their basic needs being met. |

lots of snuggle time, a few hours a day right now of just that. she still isn't TOO big of a player outside the cage, but she is learning. she likes to fly a lot. she doesn't make TOO big a mess right now since she doesn't eat much, so i don't have to spend a whole lot of time cleaning outside of poop scrubbing and tray changing. feeding, again, doesn't take much time because she hardly eats anything. the day consists of alternating periods of snuggling, playing on her stand, playing in her cage, attempted eating, showering, playing on the couch, sometimes going outside on the harness, flying around the house and making trouble....oh and pooping everywhere.
i can't imagine taking care of as many birds as some of you have. ivy is such a handful in herself and it literally takes all the hours in a day right now! ah, there is NOTHING like being owned by a macaw, i LOVE it! |
