Default How to clean an orbit

Afa has a white supreem cotton orbit from Grey Feather. We bought it with her almost 2 years ago. Its in perfect shape but its getting dirty and I cant get it clean anymore like I use to. Any cleaning and drying input?

Try 20 Mule Team Borax. It's in a green box in with the laundry detergant.
Soak the orbit in a solution of water and a half cup of Borax.

Rinse well first. Actualy, the Borax is harmless. I bathe Gem in it, use it as carpet fresh. It helps keep bugs away.

It is a laundry booster. It helps rid of parasites. I have a two gallon tub to bathe Gem in. I only use it on Gem since he is outside more than in. I just put him in the bucket (after the Borax has disolved) and cup water over him. Empty the bucket, put clean water in to rinse. I only do this once a month.
I was talking about your orbit though.

Leigh, I've used diluted Johnson's Baby Shampoo. I used it on my two when I first got them. I put a few teaspoons of it in a squirt bottle with water and squirted them down. Then showered them real good with plain water.

I have heard that there's a Cockatoo shampoo that's supposed to work well.

She actually looks really good since her molt. But theres just a few spots on her wings that take on a dirty appearance even when she just spritzed a preened. Baby shampoo is a good mental note though. Does that whiten?
