Sophie and Zoey. Took them in to get their nails and wings trimmed. Zoey doesn't do well with this mostly because it means somebody besides me will be touching her. Bless her heart. But she does enjoy getting to eat on some Macaw food while there. lol She loves the fruity colored pellets. I might go back to them for her. I don't know.

Sophie had a couple bad feathers that Mark (the breeder) went ahead and pulled out. Poor Sophie, you would have thought she had been put threw the ringer when he was done. It was so pathetic. She crawled herself up my chest with her wings up a little bit off her body and curled up under my chin. Everybody watching was all "aaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwww ooooooohhhhhhhhhhhh poor thing!!" She slinkered up onto my shoulder still looking as ragged and pathetic as she could when Mark says "Sophie is just the biggest baby!!!" Yep. My tough girl Ekkie was milking the sympathy as far as she could!! It was so dang cute!!

When I first got there I went into the back to see the babies and there was a baby boy Ekkie laying on the bottom of the cage with his head down and not moving a bit!!! OMG!!! Poor little guy had passed right? I went and waited for a break in the people to tell Mark and he says "Nope, he's alright." Seems he just came out of the brooder a couple days ago and this is his "you can't see me" routine. Know this. I waited until he did move before I went anywhere!!! lol

Well she finally broke it open to get out the little ball and destroyed it so she could toss the bell. Now she likes dragging the remainder of the ball up to her food bowls and sets it in them.

Sophie is just too cute, got to love the ingenuity of self made toys. Hope Benji gave her lots love when she came home from her wing trim.
