Default Getting married....What about the birds?

Hey all, this is a lil addendum to before about me moving to Japan, I forgot to ask if anyone has experience with the quarantine after moving to Japan, to move BACK with the birds because they are US bred birds? Is anyone familiar with that? My husband to be and I will be stationed in Japan for 2 years before he moves with me back to the base in washington?

Coming back in the us is 30 days quarantine I think. But you may not be allowed to take them into Japan. With bird flu scares abroad do you really want to risk your birds being there?

And your getting married?

Yes he is he's my manly-man, when he finishes getting his 300 styled abs I'll post a picture of him in his camo pants flexing. He's ridiculously hot. Also, Avian flu is just transmitted via outside contact so if I kept the birds indoors at the base wouldn't it be fine?

I wouldn't take my birds with me.
Outside contact can be brought inside very easily.
Things you touch, fresh foods...just about anything that you carry into the house.

=/.... that would mean I have to choose between being with him, and having my birds and there is no choice to be made I'd pick my birds and I've gone over with him about that before. My babies are my babies and love can wait if that's what it takes. But there's a woman on base who brought her african grey and parakeets over with her he said if we stay on base the Avian flu concern will not be a problem I just can't take the birds outside of the house. I can deal with that bit, I'm very sure that we can wash our hands and prep food properly and correctly to prevent transmission between us and avian bird flu to the birds for that matter Jean Jean and Data have never eaten their own fecal matter that I've seen.

Tinna, you really should be investigating all of this in a much more formal manner. Its not easy to pick up and move to another State no less to another country. You've told us all before that you are on required meds. Have you found a Dr there to keep these meds filled? I have a mouthful of lecture as far as why I think no one should pick up and marry someone so quickly. I dont think you should involve your birds in this until you know what you're getting into. You might not like Japan. This is all wayyyy to soon. Slow down!
