Default Foot Toys

ivy needs some new foot toys for her toy boxes (she has 3!) i am going to put in an order with nalani, as i really like their stuff. i'd love suggestions on more places to shop!

where do you buy foot toys?

are there any foot toys in particular than your guys MUST have?

are there certain types of foot toys that you avoid?

do you make any foot toys for your guys?

ivy loves birdie bagels, vine sticks, and stainless steel spoons. she loves wood toys too as long as she can get a good grip. i give her cardboard tubes when they don't have glue on them. also, twisted brown paper bags

i avoid hard plastic with her as she shatters it, especially those acrylic pacifiers.

Ollie loves bits of rope, leather, etc with beads knotted onto them. You could use large wooden beads with Ivy, and thicker rope than I use.

I posted a picture awhile back of some of her favorite foot toys...I'll try to find it.

Edit: Found it. I'm not experiences with Hys, but maybe some of these could be modified a bit for that bigger beak?

I usually make most of my guys foot toys. I use lots of leather, and supreme rope. I use wood pieces, straws, and wiffle balls that I pick up at Walmart in the sporting goods department. I also buy the big birdie buttons, since my guys are so fasinated by buttons,LOL! I also like the vine balls, and those chew/shredder sticks that you can buy. Have tons of fun toy shopping and let us know what neat new toys Ivy gets.

I like Nilani too but they take soooo long to deliver! I ordered puzzle boxes and a bunch of great foot toys and it took 15 days to get to me. I have similar foot toys as Camille, also vine balls which come in all different sizes. I've seen huge ones that Ivy would probably love.

I also shop at here:

ThePerchStore.net - Parrot & Pet Bird Supplies, Food, Toys, Cages, & More (Jeanne turned me on to that site)

Bird Toy Outlet - Welcome To Our Online Store

Let us know what ya get! I love toy shopping.

I like Grey Feather toys for supplies. Check out their Talon Toys page to get ideas; LINK: Grey Feather Talon Toys

I like making the dumbell type toys. They seem to like to hold onto the middle and can chew or play with what I put on the ends.

This one has the little wooden ABC blocks that you can get at the dollar store. Drill a hole through them. The middle part you can use an acrylic or wood thimble. Then use some Jute or Sisal to put it all together.

Hi Emily and Ivy! Nalani does take tooooo long. I like Echo's haven and Busy Beaks. I started making alot of bead toys for Ruby. Her favorite is a shoelace that I just put all kinds of things on. She also likes ice cream cones. (not the hard sugar ones, but the softer crunchier ones) She also likes the little boxes of raisins. I don't think she ever eats any but they are fun to take apart.

nalani does take a long time to ship, but i think they are well worth the wait. they have very unique toys with reasonable prices. i order from them all the time.

karen, i was just looking through grey feather last night! i might see if i can make a few foot toys before ordering some. it's amazing how much it costs to buy chunks of wood with some string and plastic lol.

I like grey feather toys, the perch store, and also busy beaks....the pill bottles are a hit with my Too, and also crumpled dixie cups with treats inside.
