Glad to hear that it was a huge hit! It was worth all that slaving over a hot stove to see your fiddo's enjoy the fruits of your labor. Way to go Mommy!!!

I know the feeling Karen! Jerry ate some banana for the first time the other night - and he actually enjoyed it!

I have had no luck getting the birds to eat frozen. Everything gets so watery, am I doing something wrong?

Me too! - I totally thought I was doing something wrong. Frozen gets no interest & it is soggy - the fruit is unappealing thawed & the home made bird bread was awful. [course it could have just been awful to begin with ...]

Jeanne this is a picture of the veggies I did last week the same way. My two are eating them much better this way than when I chopped them in pieces. Don't know why but they don't hold food with their feet. So they would pick up the pieces of veggies in their mouth and try to suck the juice out of them instead of biting into them and eating them. Now they're eating them right up when they're done this way. (My theory is they lived so long just eating little seeds, that they don't know what to do with bigger pieces of food)

(Carrots, kale, dandelion greens, broccoli, red pepper, jalapeños and some fresh garlic. Oh I added a little fresh corn because I knew that would appeal to both of them enough to get them to look at the food.)

Thanks Karen. I'm going to have to try that and see how my flock does.
