Default Fireworks

how did/do your birds react to fireworks? this was ivy's first 4th. i thought it would freak her out but she just seemed a little confused by the noise and continued playing as usual. artemis, however, screamed alllll night!

the dogs were polar opposites as well...one sat shivering on the couch while the other went about her normal business.

Our neighbors had a party with just the backyard crackers so they didn't get freaked. Last week we had a huge loud thunder and lightening storm which woke me up, but the birds slept through it. It amazed me.

Ryan could care less. There aren't many noises that interest him in the least other than whistling, clapping and laughing. That's about it. He sleeps thru thunder storms too.

We had fireworks all around us as usual. The birds slept through the noise. My dog followed me around whining like a baby.

I did not have any too close, but my fids are used to the noise in the distance -- Sea World and LegoLand set them off all the time. Cats don't even pay any attention!

My birds don't worry about fireworks, the dogs however all decide they scared even if one gets scred they all sacred because it becomes a pack thing.

We had a lot and everyone seemed just fine. I always wonder what the birds outside think about all the racket and flashes!

Mine seemed fine. My biggest cry baby dog has gone deaf now, so for the first time, he was not bothered.

Winkie slept fine. He's not afraid of thunderstorms either. Just as long as he has Mama & food & water he's fine.

Ollie is such a trooper. Matt and I sat on the patio with her (she was in her travel cage of course) and had a few drinks while we listened to the sounds of the fireworks- we couldn't actually see any. She was so focused on trying to beg a taste of beer (of course she didn't get any!) that the constant bangs didn't even phase her.
