I just boiled cranberries for 5 min for the fids, hoping they will try something different. Im mixing it with whole wheat pasta and pine nuts, with a little kale. Does anyone else offer cranberries? If so, do you give them cooked or uncooked?

I give them dried cranberries in one of my gloop recipes and my birdy bread and muffins and most of them absolutely love them but they are much sweeter when dry, I don't know if they would eat fresh cranberries, they are pretty tart, but they might surprise you, parrots like things we don't find palatable so...

I tired one and made a really ugly sour face! lol After it settled it wasnt so bad. I mixed it with fresh cinnamon stick since they like to chew that. They seemed have had fun with it and buddy was eating it. The pasta absorbed some of the cranberry water so hopefully it was nutritious. Do you dry your own cranberries?

I've offered them cooked (in the Kitchen Sink recipe) and also uncooked. However, Ollie won't eat them either way so it doesn't really matter how I offer them!

No, but perhaps I should. I have some in my freezer that I need to do something with. I've made birdie bread on a few different occasions, but the only kind she'll eat with any sort of consistency are Gini's BIRDIEBREAD veggie muffins. What recipe do you use?

No, I don't dry them myself, I buy them. They are actually a pretty clean crop so you can get away with buying the 'regular' kind instead of the organic.
