Do your fid's ever do....

funny things at bedtime. Dagwood has been doing the funniest thing at bedtime lately. When I cover the fid's up at night, he sneaks down below the edge of his cage cover and looks at me like as if to say, ha, ha Momma, I'm not sleepy yet. Then he makes a little sqwacky sound, then I kneel down by his cage and tell him it's time for all baby birdies to go night, night, then he'll climb up to his perch, and just about the time I get ready to leave the room, that little stinker will do it again, LOL! We do this several times before he'll finally go to bed. What a little rascal he is. So, what funny things do your fids do at bedtime????

Ruby runs to a special place in the cage and I pull the cover back and yell BOO! She usually laughs.

actually judy... Tango does the same thing.. though im not as nice as you my words are something alone the lines of "get your little feathered butt up to taht perch right now or ill sell you too a petshop".. she starts acting the maggot then and scream as much as to say "uh huh... I DONT THINK SO!!"

At bedtime, Echo and Harley climb up to their sleeping perch and bed down for the night. Lucy climbs up too, but all the sudden, she gets this mean streak! No joke, she goes to that perch all the time and we never have a problem, but at bed time, its her perch and no body can get near it!

Ollie and I have a routine at bedtime. We give loves outside of the cage while I tell her it's night-night time. Then I put her in her cage and start covering it. As I'm getting the cover situated she makes her way over the the front left corner of the cage. I lift up the cover at that place and we kiss, talk, and she gets scritches through the bars. After about a minute or so she'll head to her sleep perch and I velcro the cover shut.

Peanut and company go to bed on time by themselves. Sometimes if they get bothered they will all come out the box and shout. I have to tell them its ok go to bed. Its quite funny to see them all trying to get into the box at the same time, big traffic jam at the door hole.

At bedtime Spice will hop on his swing , which is where he likes to sleep. Sugar has started having a little fit over this lately. He will try to get him off and try to keep him from getting on it. He is scared to get on in it himself but he sure hates Spice being on it. It is very odd.

Ryan runs for his life at bed time. He absolutely hates going in for the night. Even if he is snoozing on the back of the couch and I say, "well, it's time for night-night" he takes off like he's about to be tortured. He usually ends up on the other side of the couch and will step up to me slowly with his down, most likely thinking, "Oh alright." It cracks me up.

My budgies will all run up their ladder (In a perfect little line lol) and then hop into all their swings at bedtime. The sennie will grab the cage cover in his beak and hold on so I can't cover his cage. My conure will sleep in his happy hut all night, and he stores pellets (incase of a worldwide pellet shortage) in his hut, and then eats them in the middle of the night. He also talks in his sleep. A couple times before he's done this evil laugh in the middle of the night...it scared me so much!!
