Mine don't talk, but they do contact call each other. Ducky and Skittles together, Fred and Billy together, and also Fred and Zippy together also. Fred and Zippy like to do this really high pitched short whistle over and over and over again. Gotta love em!

Zoey and Benji call out to each other. Which eventually pisses off Sophie and she yells at them.

I don't think my tiels and IRN's talk to each other. The tiels chatter away to themselves and the ringies kinda just ignore them. They are usually to busy chasing each other and playing to pay to much attention to the tiels.

I forgot to mention Lucy & Ethel (clutch mates) who've been w/me for over 2 yrs now----one will scream bloody murder and the other will say SHUT UP STOP SCREAMING! Evidently the "wonderful folks at the rescue" weren't the most patient.

Our B&G Kianna sings How much is that doggie and Sophie barks. Kianna also will ask what's a dog say and Sophie answers along with 4 other macaws and one zon. Her reply after the barking is That's a dog.

They carry on conversations all day long, some birdie language and others our words, they certainly scold eachother. Screaming occurs and Kianna Says HEY, quiet, then her or another say That's enough, that's too loud or Stop it.

Boca (Cag) says "here kitty kitty" and Liby (Tag) will meow and sound just like a cat.

Baby (Macaw) will squawk and Boca will tell her to shut up.

Baby will say, damit and Boca will reply..."no, damn you" then Liby will say shhhit.

I have three macaws. My B&G, Bob, is the dictator - the Mayor, as I call him. When one of the other two decides to "speak out", Bob yells "Quiet Quiet Quieeeeeeeeeeeeeet!"

My Eclectus talk back and forth to each other too. They don't seem to talk in context though.

My grey will talk to only one of my Eclectus. When Oliver says "Give me a kiss", Jessie, my TAG, makes a huge "kissie" noise.

So, yes, I think they do talk back and forth to each other. Believe it or not, my house is actually "quieter" (meaning they talk instead of screech) since I have several fids.

Ours all communicate with each other. Sometimes they even carry on conversations in English (with me and with each other)! For example, I heard this conversation one day between Bob and Arthur:

Bob--Hi, Arthur!
Arthur--Hi Bob!
Bob--Step up!
Arthur--NO WAY!!!

Or, between Bob and I the other night when I was drinking hot cocoa:

Bob--what's that?
Me--cocoa. you wouldn't want it--it's hot!!
Bob--it's hot??
Me--yes, Bob. It's too hot for you.
Bob--have some?
Me--ok. I dribble a couple drops on his tongue, whereupon he shakes his head and exclaims, "HOT!!!"

Of course, they talk to each other in Macaw all the time, and they call to each other--all of them--if any one of them isn't in the same room as the others.
