Default Do your bird(s) fall asleep while on you?

I was wondering if any of you have birds that will fall asleep while you are holding them? My grey, Gabby, will lay on her back and if I rub her neck and under her chin, she will stretch all the way back, close her eyes and fall sound asleep. I've done this with her ever since I got her at 13 weeks of age.

Stella is a night-time cuddler. She will cozy up to my cheek while standing on my shoulder and chortle as she rubs her cheek against mine. Soon I will hear her grinding her beak and then she will fall asleep. Now, is that a sweet 'zon or what? LOL But trust me, during the day she would never do this -- only in the evening does she relax enough to want to unwind like this.

So how about you and your bird(s)?

Jean is not touchy feely, I wish, sometimes there's a rare spurt of loving when he comes up and "Sharpens his beak" on the end of my nose while I'm trying to sleep. It's that head bobbing motion they do when they're being handfed, he does that to the end of my nose sometimes or he gives me tongue kisses on my cheek but that's about it. He's highly in tune with my movements, if I wake, he wakes, if I move around the room he stares at me the entire time. I'm hoping Data will be sweeter. I haven't even met the little guy personally (let alone touched him I was too frightened to at the time) but knowing the inevitable is coming that I will have a bird that is of the same type that terrorized me halfway through my childhood...it's been what 9 weeks or so since I picked him out. And now I'm ready to deal with a bird that has a breed history of being at least somewhat sweet. Maybe because he's a baby he'll be more apt to fall asleep on me? Or at least nap with me during the day.

Pinky, sun sonure, will rest or sleep anytime completely inside my shirt, she is very cuddly. Peanut will cuddle mostly close to bed time or if he gets jealous of another bird. Peanut loves to be on a shoulder. Most of the suns like to hide in my hair, or inside a shirt looking out. My sisters grey Gizmo will sleep on his back in a lap only at night. Sleepy a budgie will sleep upside down in a hand at night. Peewee and Sleepy both like to rest inside shirts.

Sometimes Jerry will fall asleep on my finger. He puffs up, grinds his beak, tucks one foot up, and when he's really relaxed he'll tuck his head in his wings - that's one of my favorite things to catch, the birds tucked into their wings, and it melts me that much more when he tucks in while on my finger. When he snoozes on my finger he always talks in his sleep to, in English

Does Jerry get angry if you accidentally wake him? Peewee if she falls asleep and she gets woken she is not happy then we get a mouthful of budgie curses.

Charlie Ekkie, will take a snooze perched on my hand with his foot in his pocket but he doesn't ever tuck his head under his wing. I assume he does that when he goes to bed but I've never seen him with his head under his wing. He spends a lot of time on me, using me as his climbing frame but isn't a cuddly bird I have to get permission to stroke him!

Nope, I don't get a mouthful of curses from Jerry if I wake him, he's actually quite nice when he's woken up.
