Chipper has a new cage now. Our ritual has changed just a tad since this photo was taken. I leave her on top and I give her scritches and sing "Baby's Boats" to her. My mom sang it to me when I was a little girl. Trudy my little doggie likes to get in on the lullably too.

Chipper is a little girl. My Dad told us "Chipper Stories" about a little Chimp! I am ALL about bedtime rituals!

I sing with my birds! Harley's favorite song is John Denver's "Country Boy". It wa son TV the other night and she started singing along! Then of course, we all sing opera (when no body is looking). I start off then Harley lets out a nice, long note, and Echo gies me a little 'pip' at the end!

Yep, I always sing to them. Willis really likes anything. Griffin always sings his little pre-school songs to him and he bobs around. Tully is a bit odd though. He likes hip hop, which I don't. He absolutely LOVES that song by Sir-Mix-Alot, "I like big butts and I cannot lie.." You know the one. Or "She's a brick....HOUSE..." He will go nuts when you sing either song to him. He bobs and spins and flaps around. It's funny.

I always sing and dance around the room.

My CAG loves it and sings along with me too.

Then he makes his clapping noise with his beak and says, "Rock n Roll".

LMAO when its a big world comes on they all get quiet and listen to it (LOL so do i sometimes)

Each of my birds has at least one theme song that I sing to them frequently. Shodu's is the fanciest - it's the La Gazza Ladra overture, with the title modified from "The Thieving Magpie" to "The Thieving Cockatiel". I hum it to her every morning while she's 'helping' me fix birdie breakfast for the flock. It's not just because the title is so appropriate - the music fits her perfectly. If I ever wanted to rename her, I'd call her Ladra.
