Michele, that's a #1. You know for sure. I can't edit the poll though, you need to be an Admin to do that.

I answered yes because more than half of our birdies have been DNA sexed. Like Kathie, some we don't know.
Rascal severe boy DNA
Casey Hahns girl DNA
Oscar BTM boy DNA
Angel Hy girl DNA
Gizmo YSA boy DNA

Max B&G ??? we think male
Ru GW ??? we think male
Hedwig GW ??? we think male

The last 3 are all 8 years old and have not laid any eggs. I know that is not a definite sign but the GWs are both pretty big. Both are over 1500 and Ru is close to 1600GM Maxie may be female as he? is a light weight. I think he is around 1050 GM.

arghh....I don't know how to respond to the poll! I do know the sex of most of my birds, Rain and Mila were DNA, surgically sexed (respectively) The ekkies and ringnecks are pretty obvious but I have no idea about the sex of the bird I have had the longest, Big Bird, my CAG and only a best guess on the baby, Izzie. Oh yeah, the bonded Quakers kind of gave it away when one of them laid an egg. lol

Quito and Tausi were both DNA'd before I got them. In Tausi's case it was obvious by the time I got him, but I guess Red Bellied's Dimorphism (is that the right word?) doesn't show up when they're really young?

I answered #1

Higgins- DNA male, blood test
Paco- DNA male, blood test. He was a suspected female for the longest time due to strangly female health problems, so I got him sexed last year to rule out 'female issues'
Tahoe- visual male
Rosie- previous family had her DNA sexed, female. I have certificates for Paco and Higgins.

I had guessed wrong with one of the babies that I has surgically sexed today. Both are hens. My daughter had wanted to keep one but now both have to be sold as they are Peanuts sisters.

Had the Goons DNA'd at the first opportunity. Can't give 'em a proper name 'til we know their genders, after all :-).
