That's my thoughts too, especially the "We all have it bad" part. The bond is so strong between us and our birds that I just don't think that anyone else but bird lovers can understand it.

That is so true, no one but bird lovers understand. I have difficulty explaining it to others, not sure new bird owners add birds to their home with that understanding until they truly bond.

I agree! Today I was doing step-ups and step-downs with Darwin and giving him Cheerios (which he LOVES) as a reward. When I ran out of Cheerios I took out a pellet from his food bowl and offered it to him. He licked it, decided he didn't like it, and chomped down on my finger. It was like he was saying "You're not getting away with that!"
