Question Do biirds get the rainy day blues????

Does your bird act different on cloudy rainy days? It honestly hasn't rained hardly any at all this year at our home. BIG time drought.
Today is overcast, cloudy yucky drizzly day. Pretty much constant oozing rain. Nice, but I like sun.
Anyway....Cleo appears to want to stay INSIDE the cage more. Even with the door open. She is playing some, not a lot. Very quiet. Usually screams a lot when I come in or anything. I don't think she's sick. Eating, cleaning her beak. A little playing with a foraging toy I bought her this weekend.
Just quiet and staying inside the cage looking outside at the rain...looking pensive.
Maybe she's reflecting on her life...feeling badly about how she is taking out her pent up feelings from a love-scorned past on the one man who finally loves her??
haha
Mark
Just noticed I spelt 'birds' wrong in the subject line. Crazy day......

Yep in my opinion they do. Well maybe not blues exactly but they are much happier, livelier, curious, active and enthusiastic when it's sunny.

A full spectrum Phillips tube lighting system (hanging shop light, 2 bulbs CRI > 94 kelvin >5000, electronic ballast only and 2-4 feet away OVER HEAD not on the side)....will help over the winter.

Enthusiastic also pertains to pesky habits like nipping their par amour.

My sun breeders will actually stay a lot of the day in the nest boxes when it rains or is overcast. The pet suns stay close to the cage, even though there is no chance of rain indoors. The budgies just wait it out with less activity. The ringies like to bath in the rain.
