Default Daylight Savings Time Ends!

Daylight Savings Time Ends!

For many of us last night was the time to change our clocks back! Daylight Savings time is over. (Also this is a good time to change those smoke detector batteries)

Will the time change affect your birds schedule? Are you making any changes?

We changed back a week ago and I haven't made any changes but Brian seems to be fine. In fact he seems more chirpy than before if anything.

I haven't decided yet. I left their timers as they were so the F/S lights would come on the same time as they're used to. Unsure whether to leave them as is for the PM or not. Give them an extra hour, or have them going to bed at five PM? I've had the lights going out at 6, so they get a little time to eat before it gets dark.

I'm with you Nate, I'm still deciding what to do. My schedule has been a little off because of eating habits. Kady prefers to eat his last meal of the day on his play stand and Kita prefers hers in her sleep cage. But yet they both need to be 'with' each other. So by the time I wait for Kady to eat and then clean up their play stands and area then move them to their sleep cages, then wait for Kita to finish eating, we've flown right over my time schedule.

I'm not so much worried about what the clock says as much as I'm always thinking I don't want to trigger a hormonal switch at the wrong time of year and of course trying to keep the best schedule for continued good health here.

We changed our clocks back also, but haven't seen any change in him as of yet.

Rio insisted on going to bed a few minutes ago! - it is 5:43 - he likes to go to bed around 7pm & isn't into daylight savings times I guess.

I hope he doesn't expect to get up earlier!

PS - the clock on the PC board - for me hasn't changed - I can't remember - does it stay like that until Spring?

The clock changed - guess it waited until later ....

Rio, although he went to bed at his usual time, did stay up until 8pm [9pm] singing. He was pretty funny actually - he seemed a bit confused & instead of roosting he twittered at us from the cage bars. So he got up with us this morning. Helps that it is a raining dark morning - just brightening up now.
