Thanks for the warning. I'm glad you try to talk people out of getting Too's. I actually do too! I've worked with them and spent a great deal of time in an office with a 15 yr. old screaming Moluccan that nearly everyone is afraid of. With good reason.

I've spent a lot of time doing research on the different species and their needs so that I could be as prepared as possible. I've met quite a few (that weren't babies) and checked out the scary websites. I'm well aware of what happens when you don't give them the environment or attention that they need. I think it is terrible that people sell unsuspecting consumers a beautiful baby cockatoo and they have no idea whatsoever what they are getting into. It's like a life sentence in hell for the poor baby bird. And the people aren't too happy either.

Leigh, excellent reminder, your one sentence says it all; As long as you understand,...... life with a too isnt a dancing video.

Leigh said it perfectly! I must say, as much as I and my mum adore too's, we aren't going to be getting one. They can be so sweet, and cuddly and cute and fun, but behind the mask of a cute video lies a bird that most people forget exists. I can't imagine owning one, even though I love them.
