Default The Crazy Bird Lady......

Yep that's me, or atleast what people around here are starting to call me. My Mother in Law called me the other day and told me she has a friend who has 2 tiels, that she wants to find a new loving home for because she now works full time and doesn't have the time to properly care for them. And of course the 1st person she thinks of calling is me She didn't charge anything for the tiels and they came with their cage (small) and stand and food and all, she just wanted them to go to a loving home. (About time someone has the RIGHT motives). They are both males and brothers. Here they are.........

The one in the cage doesn't like to come out so much so being I didn't want to stress him out more than he already was, I just took a pic of him in the cage.

In case you couldn't tell by now, yes I brought them home, I have to quarantine them in my master bathroom because Stunner is in quarantine in my bedrrom and then Daisy and Baby are in my living room which has VERY open floor plan. They are 5 years old, and are you ready for the best part???????.....................................

Thier names are Chip & Dale Chip is the one in the cage, Dale is the one that likes to come out and is more sociable. Chip also does wolf whistle, says pretty bird, meow's and I swear he did a car alarm going off.

Yep the crazy bird lady is at it again. I'm almost afraid to say this again but I SWEAR I am done, no more, or I won't have a house to live in.

They are beautiful - I'm glad that they've found their way into a loving home. I'm sure Chip will become more comfortable as he gets used to his new home.

Thanks everyone. I'm realling hoping I can
get Chip to be a little more outgoing aswell.

Right now they really need a bigger cage, and my hubby is dead set on me not buying any more cages. Since they are 5 years old and brothers and have never been seperated I really don't want to seperate them. I have been posting
on freecycle and searching craigslist, but not having any luck with someone having a cage they want to get rid of. My search will continue though.

I don't think I would want to separate them either if they have been buddies for so long. Are there any bird fairs coming up near you? I know they always have good deals on cages and such. Keep searching and you'll find a good deal sooner or later.

Congrats! Chip and Dale are so lucky to have found you. I agree about not separating them, they must be very used to having each other around by now. Keep an eye out for a good deal on a cage, and keep chipping away at the hubby!

What gorgeous tiels!

Don't worry - I've been called 'the pigeon lady' by a woman in my neighborhood because she saw me admiring the baby pigeon nests in my train station - and I'm only 35 years old! I thought you had to be at least over 70 to be a pigeon lady!
