the vet finally called ...ive been calling almost everyother day.....he had the results last week but couldnt get through on my phone....kids and everyother time we missed each other when i called..he wanted to tell me himself...
the test said that that cosmo had fluid in his lungs and lesion and the outcome is that he did have asper he said he didnt go through alot of more extensive neorscopy when he seen all those signs....the dr. in ny also said asper with the results and what was told to him ...
the vet knew i would be upset but he told me dont beat myself over this cause he could had this before i even had him my possesion...but why does it hurt...when i could of done more for him...

Patti, You did everything you could for Cosmo, everything the vets advised. You have nothing to beat yourself up about. Unfortunately we can't see the future to prevent things like this from happening. I know how much it hurts, but sometimes, no matter how much we try, we can't change the outcome.

Patti, Now that you know the results, perhaps you can rest easier bringing your new baby home. Knowing doesn't ease the pain of losing Cosmo, but at least you now know what it wasn't and that you can safely bring another bird home without bringing it into an environment full of contagions. I'm praying for blessings of peace for you. di

You done all that could be done Patti, I also beat myself up even after taking our birds to different vets and the cost, the cost alone is staggering, but it was all to help our babies get better, well as you know, we lost the battle also.
Somethings are just not within our reach as we try our best to help those we love so dearly.
Hold your memories of Cosmos dear to you.
Walking with you always.

Patti - you absolutely did everything you could for Cosmo. You took him to the vet- not once - but twice - when he was not feeling well. Asper, as Lisa will tell you, is a very difficult disease to diagnose and treat. Like Lisa said, Cosmo may very well have had it from the time he was a baby. I would definitely let the store know so that they can see if anything can be done to prevent future problems. Not saying it was the store's fault, but, just in case, they should know and they would probably want to know.

Look forward to the future and your many years with No-Name!

I remember you posting that your thoughtful parents bought you a timneh, just wondering where you are with deciding on a name.
