i'm glad to hear he's home... hope he'll be back to normal in no time

I'm glad he's home and feeling more comfortable - I hope you can get to the bottom of this issue. Have you rearranged his cage to be more accommodating for his foot not gripping well?

^ Evan is working on that. Should everything just be lowered? He had a bunch of rope perches in there that twisted all funky around his cage, so those have been straightened out. Also he seems to have an easier time if the perch is thicker, so I think some new perches are in order. He was very calm this morning and was spending time with Evan and he is still being very talkative which I take as a very good sign.

Poor fellow - maybe he's afraid of being quiet now - you might take him back to the Vet!

Have you tried ramps? - like they have for chickens - every so often there's a cross member so it isn't a slide.

No news yet. I am still waiting...

I finally talked to the vet! They don't have all his bloodwork in yet but everything they have so far has been normal. His gram stain was normal and his white blood cell count was normal. We are waiting on the liver and kidney results. She says because he seems to have lost some use of his feet there may be a possiblity of a mass in his stomach that is causing pressure on his feet and making it painful to use them. And that while she didn't feel anything in the exam it might show up in the bloodwork. If nothing shows up in the bloodwork she wants to do an x-ray and make sure nothing is there as well as check on the bones in his feet. But she did seem relieved that he had eaten this morning and that he was being very vocal. All good signs she said. But all in all still no answers as to what happened.
