Maybe I'm wrong but IMO these vets know very little about the wonderful benefits of natural daily direct sunshine
not thru window glass or good quality F.S. Lighting. One reason is because most of them, if any, even use it - from what I know (if they happen to even have time for a pet bird or more at home or even in their offices - which btw, IMO is
crazy for any vet to keep a bird in a waiting room or office of a building where all kinds of diseases & sick birds come into = ABSOLUTELY CRAZY IMO).
Very few of their clients even use proper lighting I bet, so the vets don't get any positive feedback on it..... So I will repeat to you again, I would not waste
another minute in getting your bird set up safely outside so it can benefit from daily direct sunshine when it comes home or I would get the good F.S. Lighting as a second choice and have that set up asap for him. Your bird may not respond immediately in his current condition but in time he will,
I can assure you that if not too late as I have
proven that hundreds of times over, as all my birds are either outside or when they come in they get the benefits of the F.S. tubes I am always talking about. You don't see or hear of me taking
any of my approx. couple hundred of birds in to vets, do you?
Good luck to your lil one, I am praying for him also.
