They are going to ask if he consumes 85 % pelleted food. That is artifcially supplemented with Calcium and D3 so in theory they allow for no sunlight. That would be a rule in for calcium/D3 which they always assume since it's the most common nutritional issue. If they feel it's that, they will give him emergency treatment and I understand you see an almost immediate response.
Just fyi so you know what to expect. These neuro looking things are tricky and in mammals DO appear to be joint but frequently arent and I'm sure it's the same with birds.
You'll feel much better tonight, just write things down ahead of time it's so hard to remember what you wanna say when you're stressed and your animal is sick right there with you. I'd leave him in the cage till you get to talk. Versus letting the tech take him out and distracting you. Then the doc will remove him and observe him after speaking with you they'll know what to look for. And they'll weigh him. They'll be able to see things with him flying too, if he chooses to. Make the tech stand in front of the door so nobody walks in and disrupts things, imo. So he doesnt crash the door, or fly out and meet a dog by mistake or something.
And don't let them intimidate you into clipping, it's usually the techs that assume you want that. (smile).
