Thanks for asking about her Gayla! Mollie is such a sweetheart, although as Arty has since let me know, she needs a more masculine name! I apologize for not typing her whole story up again, but I'm in the midst of writing a lab report and studying for a test! This link, especially post #4 tells her story and shows some of my favorite pictures of her. Pigeons really are fantastic and beautiful creatures.

Thanx so much. HE is beautiful. I've always loved watching pigeons, they are all so different looking. Were I used to work in Calif. I'd sit out on the patio were we had doves that built nests every year, and it was so peaceful just sitting there listening to them coo.

Thanx again for sharing his story

He really is beautiful. I have several pidgeons in my yard-I believe they are ringneck. I give them all the leftover tiel food, veggies and BIRDIEBREAD. It all seems to disappear, lol

The only ones I've ever seen personally look just like Mollie. There aren't many around where I live. The most I've ever seen were in Mexico- they were EVERYWHERE!

Mollie will eat just about anything! She even ate the sample pack of Harrison's pellets that Ollie wouldn't touch!

I just can't seem to remember to say HE! A 9 year old habit is hard to break!

Here Kathie...she posted the thread where she tells HIS story....it's about the 3rd or 4th post

Brokenwing...

Well, I used to live in Southern Cal, and we'd go to the beach alot, and the pigeons were always fighting with the seagulls for food...LOL Also, if you ever go to London, go to Trefalger Square....they own that place...LOL

On one of my trips there, we took a tour, and the tour guide was saying how when they cleaned the tower in the middle of the square,

there were so many dead pigeons, they had to close off the square for a few days to clean them all out.

GREAT picture!!! Thanks so much for sharing! That first one is fantastic!

Why were there so many dead ones in the tower?? That is horribly sad!

They just accumulated over the years. They have also been constantly fighting to save the pigeons in London, just like NY....people are poisoning them, because of the mess, but as in Central Park in NY, the pigeons are part of London. They are everywhere.
