This forum is a wealth of information. It is also a place where people meet and share ideas and life events. I have been out with sick family lately. My elderly father has heart failure and was admitted for pneumonia; at the same time, my mother-in-law had a heart attack and was admitted and had a stent placed in her right coronary artery and was doing fine until they found a retroperitoneal bleed and after two units of blood and some extra days she is being released home. Our best friend's brother was admitted with some sort of neurological deficit of unknown reason, weakness all over and he can't even lift a milk jug and our best friend's mother is having a heart cath today. My mother had to go for a cardiology visit to determine if she is to have bypass surgery after her heart attack earlier this summer; this follows the heart attack she had 3 years ago, had a coronary stent lost in her body but was found once she lost the ciruculation in her diabetic right leg. Upon readmitting, they were able to retrive 1/2 of it and open flow to her leg.
I am taking a couple of days off; when I was younger, early 80's, some buddies and I thought it was safe to use xray film and several of us looked at a solar eclipse thru it. AT the time nothing happened. Two years ago, I temporarily lost the vision in my right eye. The opthomologist found a scar there from the eclipse and says that it will come and go. It really only shows up now if I'm really tired and stressed. So, since this all happened this past week, I see out of my right eye, but have a round burnt spot. He tells me to take time off and rest it without stress. It's better today, but not gone. I can't sit 24-7 and not look or read something. But, I have limited my pc time.
Oh..and we had cutbacks at work. Didn't really effect me, but it's a very stressful time in the department.
But other than that, it's all good! I'm a very blessed man.
Usually I am a regular poster and as I've scrolled thru the new pots. I went OH MY LAWD!... so much has been posted!
So, if I may I'd like to catch up in one cumulative post to so many new members and pictures and so on.
