#10 | | | We looked at one- There was a breeder that had a brother and sister for sale. They were fun birds- HUGE beaks for thier size, but so sweet and gentle. They are supposed to be very intelligent animals, and at least as capable as african Greys as far as speech goes. They are somewhat rare, I beleive that they are endangered or threatened in the wild, and there are not too many breeder pairs in the U.S., so the supply is somewhat low. At the same time, however, the demand for them is not that high either- so the prices aren't unreal on them. I ALMOST bought one, but the same people had a Timneh that I couldn't pass up- especially when you consider that she was a fraction of the price
